Maoni App – Terms and Conditions

DISCLAIMER

Welcome to Maoni, a product of NjiaHub Company Ltd. These Terms and Conditions "Terms" govern your use of our application and services available via mobile app and/or web platforms (collectively, "Maoni").

By accessing or using Maoni, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent to use the Maoni App. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

USE OF THE SERVICE

Maoni allows users to:

1. Read and write reviews on places, products, and services in Nigeria;
2. Receive AI-generated or community-based recommendations;
3. Create and manage a personal profile;
4. Interact with other users through comments and ratings.

You agree to use Maoni lawfully and respectfully, without violating others' rights.

USER CONTENT

1. You retain ownership of the content (reviews, comments, photos) you submit.
2. By posting content, you grant NjiaHub a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, distribute, reproduce, and display such content in connection with Maoni.
3. You agree not to post false, defamatory, misleading, obscene, or infringing content.

PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

Maoni complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other relevant laws.

1. We collect and process personal data such as name, location, reviews, and device information.
2. Your data is processed only for providing and improving the Maoni service.
3. We implement reasonable security measures in line with the Nigeria Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015.

ACCOUNT AND SECURITY

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Maoni account credentials. NjiaHub is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not:

1. Use Maoni for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
2. Distribute malware or phishing content;
3. Scrape, data-mine, or reverse-engineer the app;
4. Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content and software on Maoni (excluding user-generated content) is the property of NjiaHub and protected under Nigerian intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part without prior written permission.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Maoni is provided "as is" and "as available." NjiaHub makes no warranties, express or implied, including:

1. Accuracy of reviews or recommendations;
2. Availability or performance of the app.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, NjiaHub disclaims all liability for damages arising from your use of Maoni.

TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Maoni at our sole discretion, particularly if you violate these Terms.

CHANGE OF TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Maoni after such changes constitutes acceptance.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
